Respiratory Therapy

The licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners at Cherry County Hospital are here to help you with your breathing challenges. Services are available for both outpatients (by appointment) and inpatients (as needed basis) and will vary based upon each patient's individual needs.

Referrals:

Your primary care provider will refer you if he/she would like you to have respiratory therapy.

Hours of Operation:

Outpatient appointments are scheduled Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Inpatient treatments are scheduled as needed.

Q: I need to have a sleep study, how do I schedule one?

A: Consult with your primary care provider. He/she will issue an order for your sleep study. The Respiratory Therapy department will call and schedule an appointment with you.

Q: Does my sleep study need to be pre-certified with my insurance company?

A: Quite possibly! Several insurance companies require precertification for testing. It is always wise to contact your insurance company to pre-certify your testing. It is also wise to document the number you called, the name of the person with whom you spoke, what they told you, and the date and time of the conversation.
