The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the hospital laboratory including the management of lab personnel. The manager is also responsible for compliance with applicable regulations.
Employment Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Sciences and 4 years training or experience in high complexity blood banking, with a minimum of 6 months in subspecialty of testing. Must meet the qualification requirements of Sec. 493.1443 subpart M of the CLIA Regulations, and provide overall management and direction in accordance with Sec. 493.1445 of said subpart.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable leadership position and at least 3 years experience in a customer oriented environment. Advanced experience, degree and/or certifications in specialty preferred. Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: National Board certified as an MLS or CLS (MT/ASCP or CLS/ ASCP or MLS/ASCP).
