Dr. Kelli Scheer grew up on a ranch near Atkinson, Nebraska. For her college education, she majored in Exercise Science and minored in Piano, Chemistry, and Health Science at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha) in 2015.In her spare time, Dr. Garwood enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and traveling to new places. She has spent time practicing medicine internationally and wishes to incorporate medical mission work into her future practice. Since moving to Valentine, Dr. Garwood has enjoyed spending more time with her family and watching her Dad and brother compete in local rodeos.
Dr. Scheer describes herself as "dedicated," and one of her favorite sayings is by Abe Lincoln: "Whatever you are, be a good one." She chose to specialize in Family Medicine because she feels that the places that need a doctor the most need someone who can see a variety of ages and conditions. Dr. Scheer accepts patients of all ages, but she especially enjoys Obstetrical/Maternity Care and Pediatrics.
